|The Holy Trinity
I've heard a lot of explanations on what the Trinity is, from the simplistic to the complex. When it seems quite simple once we search the original language of the words, as they were used at the time the Bible was written.
The Old Testament was originally written in Hebrew, and the New Testament was written in the Greek.
So let's take a look at Genesis chapter 1.
1. In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
Take the word God as used here and look at he Hebrew meaning which is: elohiym pronounced el o heem
Elohiym means: plural gods, plural for majesty; not one in number but one in perfect unity; still one God.
So we have God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost
They are all God, in such perfect accord as to be one.
Therefore we believe in the One God! NOT THREE SEPARATE, BUT ONE GOD.
Please look at the scriptures I give you and search it out, so that you will see for yourself what I'm saying here as truth. Always make a habit of searching for the truth in the Word of God; never take the word of man alone.
The Father draws men to Jesus Christ John 6:44; Matt 16:17
Jesus Christ the Son reveals the Father to us Matt 11:27; Lk 10:22
The Holy Ghost convicts men and discloses that which belongs to Christ to the Church John 16:8-15
God the Father is the commander
God the Son Jesus Christ is the performer
God the Holy Spirit is the power
I hope this has been of some help. I have a study on this site concerning the HOLY SPIRIT. If you'll click here you'll go to it.
