As I sat here praying and thinking about the Lordís grace, I saw very clearly that thereís more to the massive hurricanes that have struck our shores (USA), then the natural eye can see.  Iím not speaking of Godís judgment against the United States.  Iím speaking to ďBorn Again ChristiansĒ and each one of us in relation to the ďWarnings of GodĒ.

For example:
The Mayor warns those in the direct path of the quickly approaching category 4 hurricane, he tells them to evacuate in order to save their lives. There are those that will heed the educated advice, but there are also those that for some reason refuse to leave the path of danger.

Now the parallel:
As we study the Bible and hear Godís messengers, we are warned against feeding the desire of the flesh.

Rev 3:16
So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.

How often Iíve heard ďCarnal ChristiansĒ say they can do anything for there is no condemnation in Christ.  Our churches are riddled with those that tell lies, our young people thinking its ok to drink, have sex and all manner of sin.  Our women today dress in tight pants, dresses clinging to the body and low cut. Our men are too many times flirting out side of marriage thinking itís harmless, drinking, cussing, and of course we also see adultery.  Letís not forget our favorite pass time, gossip. These are all walking in the flesh.

I wish someone would show me where itís written that God winks at sin.

Rom 8:1 THEREFORE, [there is] now no condemnation (no adjudging guilty of wrong) for those who are in Christ Jesus, who live [and] walk not after the dictates of the flesh, but after the dictates of the Spirit.

We are being warned much the same as those in the path of a hurricane are warned.  Do we run to the Lord in complete repentance?  Or do we stand proudly and say ďI was saved as a child, therefore I can not be lost, no matter what I do".

Do you see the parallel?  Some walk in wisdom and escape the coming storms, while others refuse to listen.

Letís take a look at the "Ten Virgins" in
Matthew 25.  Itís important for us to remember as we read this, that the Bible was written to the Child of God, not to the world.

The virgin is pure, which represents the Born Again Child of God.  There is no purity outside of Jesus Christ, and through Him we are made pure.

Matthew 25                                                                               1  Then the kingdom of heaven shall be likened to ten virgins who took their lamps and went to meet the bridegroom.

The virgins were born again children of God.  The number ten as used in the scriptures often refers to manís control, which is important in this story.

2   Five of them were foolish (thoughtless, without forethought) and five were wise (sensible, intelligent, and prudent).

3   For when the foolish took their lamps, they did not take any  [extra] oil with them;

The lamp is a vessel that feeds on the oil, which needs replenishing.  We are being represented as the lamp.  The lamp oil represents the Holy Spirit.  This is not a candle, which feeds on itself.

These virgins were not leaning on the oil (Holy Spirit) to guide them, as too many of us are guilty of doing.

4   But the wise took flasks of oil along with them [also] with their lamps.

We need to be prayed up, full of the Holy Word of God, and able to hear His voice. The Holy Spirit is in the process of teaching each of us hungry for more of Him, how to hear His voice.  We need to obey His leading at all costs.  We each need to have on the "Full Armor of God" (Eph 6).
5   While the bridegroom lingered and was slow in coming, they all began nodding their heads, and they fell asleep.

Jesus is the Bride Groom, we that will be taken up in the Rapture is the Bride.  Many of us are experiencing difficulty in studying and praying.  We know to keep pushing in for this is something we must do in order to stand until Jesus comes for us.  Itís easy to see how we could fall asleep waiting, but I urge you to fight sleep, and stay active and occupy until He comes  (Luke 19:13).

6   But at midnight there was a shout, Behold, the bridegroom! Go out to meet him!

Midnight!  This is the Rapture of the true Bride of Christ.

7   Then all those virgins got up and put their own lamps in order.
8  And the foolish said to the wise, Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.

Again, these foolish ones are the carnal Christians, not following the Spirit of God, but feeding the flesh instead.

9   But the wise replied, There will not be enough for us and for you; go instead to the dealers and buy for yourselves.

How many have said, "I'll get right with God later after I'm through doing the things I want to do".  He'll come as a thief in the night
(1Thes 5:2).

10  But while they were going away to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were prepared went in with him to the marriage feast; and the door was shut.

The Word speaks of the Marriage Feast of the Lamb, which takes place right after the Rapture (Rev 19:7-9).

11  Later the other virgins also came and said, Lord, Lord, open [the door] to us!

Again the parallel between those listening to the warning to evacuate their homes and run for safe ground from an approaching hurricane, and those staying thinking they know better.
12  But He replied, I solemnly declare to you, I do not know you [I am not acquainted with you].
Matt 7:21-23
1  Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

22  Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

23   And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Matt 25 conít
13  Watch therefore [give strict attention and be cautious and active], for you know neither the day nor the hour when the Son of Man will come.

As you can see there really is a very real parallel between an approaching hurricane and the Rapture.  If we are planted firmly in Jesus Christ then we have nothing to fear.

I urge each of us to take this warning very seriously, for the time is here; the alarm is going out.......
